Peephole is a company founded by two friends during the height of the pandemic. The project emerged between two other ambitious ideas (one of which focused on the creation and rental of road signs made from 100% recycled plastic). On the way to a delivery, we started reflecting on the concept of rental and asked ourselves whether it could be applied to all areas. We quickly realized the potential money savings for individuals and the positive environmental impact that an app like what Peephole has become could offer.
Peephole is a central component of the solution. It is an app at the heart of an economy where resource sharing will be fundamentally beneficial—both for the planet and for its users.
Our Mission
To make it accessible for everyone to generate additional income using their assets or skills.
Nowadays, more and more people are looking to earn extra income. For many, creating an additional source of income may seem difficult or out of reach.
The method we’ve chosen to make earning extra income more accessible is to allow individuals to highlight and share their assets. For example, Peephole encourages the rental of tools, enabling their owners to rent them out to others while earning extra money.
The ultimate goal: To slow down the overproduction of new goods by encouraging, simplifying, and making the sharing of possessions more accessible.
Our Vision:
We plan to revolutionize the rental market in North America—and then across the globe. We’re not here to “take market share” in the rental industry, but rather to expand, encourage, and democratize this practice through simplification and accessibility. Within 3 years, we aim to see a significant increase in the rental of goods that are currently rarely shared. All of this is in the hope that within 5 to 10 years, we will have a real and major impact on individual consumption habits.
